Free Improvisation Workshop w/ The Heart Trio

Join William Parker, Hamid Drake, and Cooper-Moore for a free community workshop and conversation exploring collective improvisation, creative process, collaboration, listening, and the possibilities of sound, rhythm, and instrument.

Drawing from more than thirty years of collaboration, Heart Trio creates music collectively in the moment. Their work brings together an expansive range of instruments, traditions, handmade sound-making tools, and individual musical histories, while remaining centered on spontaneous creativity and connection.

The workshop offers an opportunity to hear directly from the trio about how they approach improvisation and making music together, with space for conversation and shared exploration.

Open to musicians, artists, listeners, and people of all backgrounds and experience levels. No previous improvisation experience is required.
